The Weeknd has officially taken his place in touring history. The Toronto-born superstar has wrapped up his massive After Hours Til Dawn Stadium Tour, and the final numbers are nothing short of legendary. After four years on the road, the global trek generated more than $1.3 billion and sold over 9 million tickets, making it the highest-grossing tour by a male artist in history.
The journey came to an end on November 5 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where The Weeknd performed the final show of a run that began in Philadelphia in July 2022. Across 176 performances, the tour reached 67 cities in 30 countries and touched five continents. What started as a stadium celebration of his After Hours and Dawn FM eras evolved into one of the biggest live music productions the world has ever seen.
The numbers tell only part of the story. The Weeknd consistently pushed the limits of stadium touring, setting records at major venues around the world. He played seven shows at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium, setting venue records for performances and gross by a male artist. In Toronto, six nights at Rogers Centre made history, while six sold-out performances at Paris’ Stade de France established another major milestone.
Beyond the spectacle, the tour also made an impact through charitable contributions. Live Nation reported that $8.5 million was raised for the XO Humanitarian Fund and Global Citizen, supporting hunger relief and education initiatives.
From underground mixtapes to a billion-dollar stadium run, Abel Tesfaye has built a career that continues to stretch beyond genre and expectation. The After Hours Til Dawn era may be closing, but its legacy is firmly secured in music history.
