Nicki Minaj has weighed in on one of the internet’s biggest talking points after Tesla showcased its futuristic Roadster, a vehicle that appeared to perform aerial stunts during a demonstration on October 15.
The rapper joined the online conversation with a playful reaction, describing herself as reporting live from “the future” and declaring that flying cars are real. Her post came shortly after Elon Musk presented the next-generation Roadster at a SpaceX test site in Texas, where the vehicle’s unusual demonstration quickly caught public attention.
Tesla’s Roadster Steals the Spotlight
During the presentation, the Roadster drove up a curved ramp before launching into the air, rotating and landing back on its wheels. Tesla says the vehicle uses high-pressure air thrusters to perform its airborne maneuvers, adding to the spectacle surrounding the long-awaited electric sports car.
Musk also discussed ambitious performance targets, including acceleration from zero to 60 mph in less than a second for certain configurations. However, the vehicle’s production is not expected to begin until 2028, and Musk acknowledged that the project’s success is not guaranteed.
Nicki Joins the Online Conversation
Minaj’s response added a celebrity moment to the growing discussion surrounding Tesla’s demonstration. The Roadster attracted widespread attention online, with viewers reacting to footage that looked more like a science-fiction scene than a traditional automotive reveal.
The demonstration has also prompted questions about the vehicle’s practicality, safety, and regulatory requirements. While Tesla has presented an ambitious vision for the Roadster, questions remain about what the final production model will deliver.
For now, Minaj’s reaction places her among the public figures commenting on Musk’s latest headline-making project. Whether Tesla can turn the dramatic demonstration into a commercially available vehicle remains to be seen.
