For Mythodical Joe, hip-hop isn’t just a genre—it’s a lifelong language. A songwriter, recording artist, and actor who has been making music professionally since 2005, Joe has built his identity around sharp lyricism, storytelling, and the timeless spirit of 2000s hip-hop and R&B.
His influences read like a who’s who of elite emcees: Nas, The Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z, Wu-Tang Clan, Eminem, Joe Budden, Redman, Eric Sermon, Talib Kweli, Joell Ortiz, Royce da 5’9″, OutKast, Ludacris, 50 Cent, and The LOX. That deep appreciation for lyric-driven hip-hop is evident in his approach. Joe writes all of his own material and even contributes writing to some of his collaborations, while also developing his own music-video concepts.
His journey began with “First Lady,” a heartfelt record written for his daughter featuring Jason Brown. Since then, his artistry has expanded into a growing catalog that balances personal storytelling with classic hip-hop energy. His latest release, “One Night” featuring Chancey R, brings hip-hop and R&B together in a smooth, contemporary package.
Now, Mythodical Joe is preparing for his next major chapter. He’s putting the finishing touches on his upcoming EP, “The Collective,” before moving into his sophomore album, “Relationship Status.” Fans can also anticipate “The State” featuring Jae Millz, a lyrical record tackling the current state of hip-hop and the culture surrounding it.
Behind the scenes, Joe works with producers including Basshead Beatz, DJ Rek, and Solace Beats, while continuing to develop his own voice as an artist. Although his biggest live audience so far has been around 100–150 people, his ambitions are considerably larger. Germany is on his performance wish list, and he could see himself sharing a tour with artists such as The LOX, Joell Ortiz, Royce da 5’9″, Eminem, 50 Cent, and Crooked I.
With his mother serving as his biggest supporter, Joe continues to build with purpose. Five years from now, he envisions himself six albums deep, writing for other artists, and expanding his career into film alongside his music.
