Meek Mill is once again reflecting on the impact of his breakout anthem “Dreams and Nightmares,” and according to the Philadelphia rapper, few songs in hip-hop history can compare to its influence.
Fresh off appearing during Kevin Hart’s Netflix roast event, Meek returned to social media to share his thoughts about the iconic record. Never one to shy away from speaking his mind online, the rapper confidently praised the song’s lasting cultural presence.
On X, Meek wrote, “Dreams and Nightmares one of the best rap songs to ever come out! From my years on this earth I never seen nothing with the same impact! Thank God for that lifetime energy shifter!”
Originally released in 2012 as the opening track on his debut studio album Dreams and Nightmares, the song quickly became one of the defining records of Meek’s career. Produced by Tone the Beat Bully, the track is especially remembered for its dramatic beat switch and Meek’s emotionally charged delivery, which transformed it into a motivational anthem embraced far beyond hip-hop circles.
