Terrence Howard stirred conversation this weekend after appearing on Bill Maher’s Club Random podcast, where he opened up about a major career decision he regrets. Howard revealed that he once turned down an opportunity to play Smokey Robinson in a biopic because he was already in talks to portray Marvin Gaye in a separate project with Lee Daniels.
However, Howard shared that after meeting with Quincy Jones, who allegedly claimed Marvin Gaye was homosexual, he ultimately walked away from the project. Speaking candidly, Howard explained that he could never kiss another man on screen, saying, “I would cut my lips off… I can’t surrender myself to a place that I don’t understand.”
Howard also hinted that he plans to launch a podcast soon, where he intends to reveal more “Hollywood secrets” and share deeper insights into the entertainment industry’s behind-the-scenes realities.
