In a groundbreaking move for the hip-hop fashion scene, Future has recently joined forces with the esteemed French luxury fashion house, LANVIN LAB, to drop a sensational new capsule collection. The collection, which made its grand debut on November 20, features an array of unisex clothing and accessories that perfectly embody the trap icon’s signature style.
The collaboration, highlighted on LANVIN LAB’s website, showcases Future’s penchant for layering and tailoring, coupled with a distinctive flair for accessories. The collection’s two recurring themes, the Eagle and the Star, symbolize courage, majesty, truth, protection, empowerment, and guidance. These symbols echo the Freebandz logo, contributing a personal touch to the collaboration.
Taking inspiration from the LANVIN archives, Future has meticulously designed each piece, ensuring a unique and compelling aesthetic. One standout item is a leather jacket adorned with metallic studs forming a constellation, a nod to the trap icon’s celestial style. Additionally, the collection features denim pieces with lettering from Lanvin perfume campaigns of the 1930s and ’40s and a modernized Lanvin sneaker known as the Curb 3.0.
“I created a vibe with this collection, something you can feel when you wear it,” Future remarked about his latest fashion venture. Drawing parallels with Jeanne Lanvin, the founder of LANVIN, he added, “We are the same in that way, we create from experience.”
Future’s foray into the world of fashion is not a new venture. With a proven track record of successful collaborations, including his partnership with the streetwear brand RHUDE, the Atlanta rapper continues to make waves in the fashion industry. His involvement with RHUDE two years ago played a pivotal role in establishing the brand, with Future front and center in their inaugural campaign, titled “Rhude Boy.”
Speaking about the collaboration, Rhuigi Villaseñor, the founder and creative director of RHUDE, emphasized the organic growth of their partnership. “Future and I have known each other for some time and grew together organically with him supporting and wearing the brand,” Villaseñor said.
