Plies Withdraws Lawsuit Against Megan Thee Stallion, GloRilla, Cardi B, and Soulja Boy Over Sample Dispute

Plies has officially moved to dismiss his lawsuit against Megan Thee Stallion, GloRilla, Cardi B, and Soulja Boy. The legal action was initially taken regarding the 2024 track “Wanna Be,” which reportedly included an uncleared sample from Plies’ song “Me & My Goons.”

In a motion filed on Friday and obtained by Billboard, Plies stated his intention to drop the case “without prejudice.” This legal terminology indicates that he retains the right to refile the lawsuit in the future should he choose to do so.

GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion had previously collaborated with Cardi B on the remix of “Wanna Be” back in May 2024, but the song has now become the center of this unfolding legal drama.
