Sexyy Red Sets the Record Straight on Controversial Sex Tape Leak

In a recent candid interview on ‘The Breakfast Club,’ the electrifying rapper Sexyy Red addressed the unexpected leak of her explicit video on Instagram, vehemently denying any intentional involvement. The controversy erupted after the success of her hit single “Pound Town,” leading some to speculate whether the leak was a strategic move for publicity.

Charlamagne, the host, didn’t hold back, suggesting that some believed Red deliberately leaked the video to capitalize on her recent musical triumphs. In response, Sexyy Red dismissed the notion, expressing her surprise and disbelief. “What?!” she exclaimed, making a face. “No, that was the wackest video, bruh. I was tired, I’m fat, pregnant, didn’t even feel like doing shit on there… And that’s the one that fucking gets leaked. I got all kinds of stuff in my phone.”

When asked about the mechanics of the leak in the digital age, Red admitted she was mad about the situation, asserting that she was not the one who intentionally shared the video. Describing the incident, she explained, “It was in the moment and then set the phone down, but I ain’t the one that did it… It had accidentally pressed.”

Unapologetically, Sexyy Red addressed the speculation about deleting explicit content from her phone, firmly stating, “It’s my phone! Don’t y’all got shit on your phone?” She boldly hinted at the potential for even more explicit content, declaring, “Man, when I say I could really go viral, I could be a star. … Nobody broke into my phone; I already know what happened. But I could really be a star if I post the real stuff.”

Further clarification followed as Charlamagne pressed for details. Red explained, “Okay, this is what happened. It was on Instagram, like a little short clip, video, like just making it on Instagram. Saved it to the phone, but the video still was on my screen. Threw the phone, and it got accidentally pressed like that. Who gonna do that purpose?”

Expressing her frustration, she emphasized that the leaked video was far from her best work, teasing her fans by stating, “Y’all really want me to post the real ones now. I turn up.”

Despite the unexpected ordeal, Sexyy Red maintained her integrity, recalling a tweet from October where she expressed her heartbreak over the leak, assuring her followers that she wouldn’t engage in such “goofy sht.” The rapper left a lasting impression, not just with her music but with her unfiltered authenticity in the face of controversy.
