In a bold move, Uncle Murda is gearing up to deliver yet another installment of his infamous “Rap Up” series for 2023. The Brooklyn native took to social media on December 28 to tantalize fans with a sneak peek into what promises to be a fire recap of the year. What sets this teaser apart is the gripping intro, courtesy of a past diss from none other than Trick Daddy.
The Floridian legend’s scathing words, extracted from a heated moment on his cooking show, “I Got My Pots,” add an extra layer of anticipation. Trick Daddy pulls no punches, labeling Uncle Murda as “The No. 1 clown for the last five years.” The teaser sets the stage for what could be a controversial and headline-grabbing “Rap Up 2023.”
Adding to the excitement, Uncle Murda revealed that Great John would be the mastermind behind the production of this highly anticipated single. With a history of creating memorable tracks, Great John’s involvement hints at a musical masterpiece in the making.
Uncle Murda initiated the “Rap Up” series back in 2014, putting him in the same league as Virginia emcee Mad Skillz, who also dropped annual recaps. In a revealing interview on “Sway In The Morning,” the G-Unit affiliate detailed the intense process of crafting these yearly drops. He confessed to feeling the pressure building up around a week before Thanksgiving, emphasizing the challenges of incorporating past events and controversies into his rhymes.
