Tyga and YG Unleash Visuals for ‘Brand New’ featuring Lil Wayne

In anticipation of their collaborative album, “Hit Me When U Leave The Klub: The Playlist,” set to release this Friday (Sept. 29), Tyga and YG have treated fans to the visuals for their latest track, “Brand New,” featuring none other than the iconic Lil Wayne. The project promises 14 tracks, including hit singles like “West Coast Weekend” with Blxst, “PARTy T1M3,” and “PLATINUM.”

The video for “Brand New,” directed by Jack Bridgland, kicks off with a sultry cameo by Saweetie, setting the tone for a visually compelling experience. The rest of the video unfolds in a warehouse setting, featuring the duo surrounded by exotic dancers in a red-tinted room, creating a captivating backdrop for the infectious track.

The song, produced by DJ Swish and Mike Crook, showcases Tyga’s signature style, weaving together verses that delve into themes of wealth, women, and the high-flying lifestyle. Lil Wayne’s contribution adds an extra layer of star power to the already dynamic collaboration.

In a recent interview with Numéro Netherlands, YG shed light on the inspiration behind the album, stating, “The vision and the inspiration for this project was just to create something fun. We wanted to create more moments.” Reflecting on their shared history in the rap scene and the success of their previous collaborations, YG emphasized the importance of this joint project. “Me and Tyga have a lot of records with each other that have been hits. We created a lot of moments in hip hop. Being a part of rap and being from the same city, we just felt like it was finally time to do a bigger project together. We talked about it for years. We finally both had the time to really sit down and get it done, and it means a lot.”

As the anticipation builds for the release of “Hit Me When U Leave The Klub: The Playlist,” fans can enjoy the infectious vibes of “Brand New” and look forward to the duo’s latest contribution to the hip-hop scene. The tracklist promises a celebration of their successful collaboration and the creation of new moments in the genre.
